The Calm Paws Inflatable Protective Collar is a comfortable and adjustable recovery collar made to protect body injuries, rashes, and post-surgical wounds in dogs and cats. The inflatable design and soft fabric make it a less restrictive and more comfortable option compared to traditional plastic cones. It comes with an included Calming Disk infused with lavender and valerian essential oils to help soothe pets through the recovery process.

How to Use

Fitting and Inflation Instructions

Measure Your Pet First: Use the size chart to get the right fit by measuring from the base of the neck to the tip of the nose (A) and around the base of the neck (B) and choose the next size up if you fall between measurements.

Inflate the Collar: To inflate, pinch the no-leak air valve firmly while blowing air into it; continue until the collar reaches a firm, comfortable shape that holds its form.

Thread Your Pet’s Regular Collar: Insert your pet’s existing collar through the inner ring loops on the inside of the inflatable collar to secure and stabilize its position.

Secure the Strap: Fasten your pet’s regular collar as normal and adjust the strap on the opening of the inflatable collar for a comfortable fit around the neck.

Attach the Calming Disk: Secure the included Calming Disk to the collar strap to provide continuous essential oil calming support throughout the recovery period.

Allow Supervised Rest Breaks: Remove briefly during supervised periods to allow the fur and skin to breathe; re-secure when your pet cannot be watched.

Precautions

Body Coverage Only: This inflatable collar covers the body only and will not stop your pet from reaching its legs, head, or tail. For pets that need protection in those areas, consider an e-collar or a caring collar instead.

Not for Aggressive Pets: The inflatable collar may not be sufficient for pets that are very determined to reach their wound; a hard plastic e-collar is recommended for these pets.

Correct Sizing Essential: Measure carefully before purchasing; a collar that is too small will not be effective, and one that is too large will be uncomfortable and may allow wound access.

Care and Maintenance

Replace Calming Disk When Needed: Each Calming Disk lasts up to 21 days. When it runs out, replacement disks can be purchased separately to maintain continuous calming support during recovery.

Inspect the Air Bladder Regularly: Keep an eye on the inflatable collar and check for any drop in air pressure from time to time. Re-inflate whenever needed to make sure it continues to provide effective protection.
